Avoiding stretch marks
Although there is no hundred percent sure way to prevent stretch marks there are several recommendations that reduce the risk of developing them. Special care must be taken during pregnancy and growth periods. These are some recommendations:
1-weight under control
Limit weight gain to no more than 25 to 35 pounds. Nobody wants to get fat but this is another reason to avoid weight gain on all of a sudden. If the skin is stretched progressively less chance of developing stretch marks.
2 – Zinc
Try to eat foods rich in zinc. Among these are protein-rich foods such as nuts, meats, seafood, beans, whole grains, fish and others.
3 – Vitamins
Eat vegetables rich in vitamins A, C and D, such as carrots and citrus fruits. Vitamin D is also found in milk.
4 – Water
Try to drink enough water.
5 – Pregnancy
During pregnancy use a good moisturizer in the belly area. They may be natural oils such as castor oil or almond with vitamin E (open a capsule) or a moisturizer.
6 – Circulation
Stimulates circulation in areas prone to stretch marks as the belly, chest and thighs. Also the arms in some people. This can be done with a gentle massage every morning and using a bath towel or paste (loofah) when bathing.
